Downtown Iquitos still has many old colonial buildings, though the one and only (blue) high rise stood out and was unoccupied for safety reasons. Machete jugglers at the traffic lights entertained all on the road to the airport.
The flight back to Lima went again via Pucallpa, and it was a great chance to watch the winding river systems we'd recently been cruising. We just had peeks through the clouds at the Andes, winding roads, steep valleys and terraced hills.
